MTH 120 - Mathematical Ideas I(Cr: 3) Problem solving and inductive reasoning are learned through the study of estimation, error analysis, theory sets. Venn diagrams, number theory, and Fibonacci sequences. This course will build upon a student’s geometry background and apply it to further the study of curves, polygons, circles, and triangles and then proceed to non-Euclidean geometry, topology, and fractals.
Prerequisites Prerequisites: Two years of high school math.
