MTH 135 - Calculus I


This course offers an introduction to differential and integral calculus of the single variable. The course includes the study of limits and continuity, the mean value theorem, techniques of differentiation including the chain rule, optimization, and the fundamental theorem of calculus, antiderivatives and introductory integrals and their applications. Properties of transcendental functions (exponential, logarithmic, and trigonometric) are explored using calculus. A knowledge of algebra and trigonometry is assumed. Satisfies the Math and Science core requirement.

Prerequisite: High school pre-calculus or trigonometry.
