ENG 342 - AI and Writing

This course examines AI-assisted writing as a subject of debate, an emergent set of norms and practices, and an opportunity to reflect on the goals of writing. Students consider arguments for and against AI assistance while investigating its potential role at different stages in the writing process. They explore some of the strategies that writers have developed for collaborating with AI while also critically evaluating its output and its influence on idea development. Satisfies the Writing Designated General Education Requirement
