ART 220 - Generative AI in the Visual

This course explores the creative use of generative AI in artistic practice. Students will develop visual literacy skills to craft effective prompts that support intentional outcomes. Generative AI tools will be used for brainstorming, research and image & video creation. The course emphasizes ethical and legal awareness, transparency, and experimental approaches to creative workflows. Open to all majors, it encourages critical engagement with emerging technologies in contemporary artmaking.
