ILL 220 - Mixed Media Illustration

In this course students will explore traditional forms of illustrated expression through the use of physical, non-digital mediums such as pencil, ink, watercolor and acrylic. Hand lettering will also be addressed. Students will learn how to digitize their work for commercial purposes. Historical and contemporary illustrators will be discussed along with demonstrations of media techniques. A degree of freedom and flexibility is granted to help students refine their personal vision and maintain a heightened interest in problem solving.
