DAN 120 - Ballet Techniques

The course prepares beginner to advanced beginner students with the foundation necessary for progression to the intermediate and advanced levels of ballet. Every student’s ability is assessed, and training follows a curriculum designed for each student to progress to their maximum potential. Course includes barre work and center work, focusing on classical ballet vocabulary, technique, self -discipline, motivation, creativity, critical thinking, and confidence building. Course may be repeated each semester for academic credit. This course contributes 1 credit to the Aesthetic Awareness and Creative Expression General Education requirement of 3 credits.
