ART 224 - Alternative Processes in Clay

In this course, students have the opportunity to explore various alternative methods of working with clay. This includes printmaking techniques such as plaster etching and mono-printing with colored slips, as well as decal image transfers, mold-making methods, and colored porcelain techniques. Students learn to create support structures for larger pieces, develop surface treatments, and experiment with integrating additional materials. This course can be applied to work in multi-media work.
