IA 525 - Advanced Spatial Design Studio I

This advanced spatial design studio will focus on human perception within designed space. The
creation of meaningful spatial experiences that engage and trigger positive attributes in mind,
body, and memory of users. A transdisciplinary approach to problem solving for complex
interior environments through advanced integrated design strategies with theoretical constructs
will be employed. Inclusivity and sustainable design strategies will also be an integral part of the
design process to maximize the health and well-being of occupants. A series a quick and rapid
critical and visual thinking charrettes develop spatial analysis skills applied to a complex interior
semester long “spatial design project.”
