ENG 219 - Fundamentals of Editing


This course introduces students to the foundational skills required of a professional editor that will serve them well in many professions.  Students learn how to prepare any given piece of writing for the right audience and the right purpose. Such preparation includes polishing spelling, grammar, and punctuation; ensuring that ideas are expressed clearly and logically; or improving readability while maintaining the author’s voice.
