ART 331 - Art and Social Action This course is designed as a service learning course that explores the intersection and practice of social activism within art therapy and community art, with the creative arts therapies and mental health counseling. Issues of culture, social justice, and oppression will be addressed along with the response of community-based actions and initiatives taken by creative arts therapists, artists, and service providers. National and international initiatives and projects are studied. Satisfies the Individual and Society General Education requirement.
Prerequisites & Notes ART110 or PSY100 or permission of instructor.
