ENG 214 - British Literature: 18th Century to Present Course examines the influence of the Enlightenment, Romanticism, the Industrial Revolution and the fall of the aristocracy, post-World War I Modernism, post-World War II Existentialism and Absurdism, late 20th century Post-Modernism, and 21st century social anxiety on British textual production. Students analyze a variety of genres including, but not limited to fiction, poetry, drama, and film. Satisfies the Literary Perspectives General Education requirement.
