PHT 311 - Multimedia for Photographers

This course addresses video capture and the production of time-based works that are an integral part of current photographic practice. Students learn the standards and practices involved in DSLR video, audio capture and workflow. Assignments address projects that are typically found within the different sectors of photographic practice. These include: documentary short subject, still image and audio narrative, still image and video capture hybrid. Students produce a number of time-based works enabling them to understand the methodologies of production as well as the formal attributes of each particular work, and evaluate them critically.

Prerequisites & Notes
CMM 110 and PHT 216, or permission of instructor.
