After the foundations year, students in Visual Communications may choose to concentrate in Graphic Design. Graphic designers are those who bring order and clarity to the myriad graphic messages that saturate every aspect of daily life.

In the Graphic Design track, each course builds in sequence on the courses preceding it so that the student becomes thoroughly versed in the design process from concept to finished piece. Students develop a growing body of knowledge and expertise in concepts, composition and layout, typography, and imagery in both contemporary and historical contexts, learning more advanced methods and techniques as the course sequence continues. Students develop their visual and conceptual acuity through traditional forms as well as animation, video, web and multimedia. At Endicott, students also make use of liberal studies to become broadly educated, literate designers who are fully cognizant of the impact that design has in the world.
