Applied behavior analysis (ABA) is based on the science of behavior, and is applied to a multitude of challenges facing individuals and organizations. Subspecialties within the science include applications to individuals with autism and developmental disabilities, individuals with mental health and addiction challenges, businesses and organizations, sustainability and climate change goals, sports and fitness goals, and the maximization of instructional outcomes across all learners.
The primary goal of this minor is to provide students with foundational knowledge in the science of behavior analysis. Courses fulfill the educational requirements for certification within the field. Combined with an internship experience to fulfill experiential hours requirements, students will be eligible for certification as a Board Certified Assistant Behavior AnalystⓇ (BCaBAⓇ). This credential enables employment at the bachelor’s degree level
