Foreign Languages

Language skills are important for personal as well as professional growth, as students who can engage internationally find that a larger number of exciting internship and career options are open to them. Because of this, a foreign language requirement is built into many of Endicott’s major and minor programs, allowing students to add new dimensions to their education through their study of Spanish, Italian, French, or even Arabic and Chinese. These foreign language courses are within the World Cultures category of the General Education curriculum. Students in all disciplines are encouraged to enhance their programs and increase their professional opportunities by exploring the natural connections between language study and areas like Business, Hospitality, Education, Criminal Justice, History, and others in language courses offered through the School of Arts and Sciences. Endicott also works closely with the foreign language departments of NECCUM member colleges to make an incredible variety of language courses available to students at both Endicott and the other institutions within the consortium, meaning that students have extensive options for language study.
