This course examines the literary treatment of justice and injustice in American literature. Through close interpretation and the study of theories of gender, race, and class students will investigate how these theories have impacted American literature historically and in the present era. Satisfies the Literary Perspectives General Education requirement and the Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion requirement.
