Welcome Messages

A Message From The President

Adult education is one of the most rewarding endeavors in which on can engage. We have all heard the term “life long learning”, which embodies a desire to “stay current and advance ourselves”. Theses phrases sound like truisms, but there is no more rewarding experience then to open doors and to explore new opportunities. Our graduate and professional studies programs recognize this fact, and our intensive programs, cohorts, online education, and traditional programs are tailor made to meet the learning needs and lifestyles of adults.

In the fall of 2003 Endicott was pleased to open a newly renovated facility on South campus dedicated to our adult population. The William and Tia Van Loan School of graduate and professional studies offer a welcoming space for faculty, staff, and students studying in this program.

When Bill Van Loan joined our board of trustees, he and his wife, Tia, became enthusiastic supporters of the college. It was through his generosity and foresight that Endicott was able to realize the dream of offering outstanding facilities that reinforce our strong commitment to your success.

Best wishes for your studies and professional success.

A Message from the Vice President and Dean

May I take this opportunity to welcome you as you investigate our graduate programs. Our mission at the Van Loan School of Graduate and Professional Studies is to offer you a high quality, adult oriented education as part of your professional and personal growth.

As the vice president and dean of the graduate school, I am aware of the sacrifices that you must make and the balance you must achieve as adult learners. We have a great deal of respect for what you are embarking upon. We do all that we can to assure that your program will be rigorous yet take into account the challenges of being an adult learner

Our graduate programs are designed to assist you as you seek to grow in your careers. Our focus on learning from each other, with faculty as facilitators, is based upon the notion that your graduate experience will be most fruitful if connected to practice and the challenges you face in your careers.

I encourage you to review this Catalog for admission requirements, program offerings, professional development, resources, and graduate information. Most of your questions should be addressed; however, if you would additional information, don’t hesitate to call the graduate school office for clarification and/or to schedule an appointment.

We wish you the very best as you pursue your degree with us.
